Mendaki Gunung Talang, Pesona Tiga Danau di Bumi Rendang

SOLOK, KOMPAS.com - "Jalurnya licin dan tanah. Mesti hati-hati," kata pemandu pendakian Gunung Talang, Emon Rinaldi, saat kami mulai mendaki Gunung Talang dari pos Pendakian R6 dari Jalur pendakian Ai Batumbuk, Kecamatan Gunung Talang, Kabupaten Solok, Sumatera Barat, awal bulan Juni lalu.
Langkah kaki kerap terpeleset di jalur pendakian yang didominasi tanah, lumpur, dan batu kerikil menjelang puncak.
Dini hari di awal bulan Juni lalu, angin berhembus menyusup celah-celah jaket dan menyapa kulit tubuh. Bintang-bintang bertaburan di langit menemani perjalanan saya melewati jalan perkebunan teh PTPN VI menuju titik awal pendakian di Pos R6. Beberapa pendaki mulai terlihat di Pos R6 dan memecah kesunyian dengan gelak tawa diiringi petikan gitar.

"Di sini, pos dibilangnya Rambu atau disingkat R. Jadi menandakan perjalanan pendakian," kata Emon.

Sekitar pukul 02.00 WIB, saya bersama Emon mulai meninggalkan keriuhan pemuda pemudi di kaki Gunung Talang. Beberapa teguran basa-basi terlontarkan dari pendaki-pendaki yang berpapasan dengan kami.
Pendaki melewati jalur pendakian yang berlumpur saat mendaki Gunung Talang, Solok, Sumatera Barat, Rabu (1/6/2016). Jalur pendakian Gunung Talang didominasi tanah, lumpur, dan batu kerikil menjelang puncak.(KOMPAS.com / Wahyu Adityo Prodjo)
"Dari mana? Mendaki berdua aja, Bang?" tanya seorang pendaki dan lalu melanjutkan dengan percakapan dengan Bahasa Minang.
Benar saja, rintangan-rintangan mulai menghadang sekitar 20 menit dari Pos R6. Jalan tanah licin dengan kombinasi tanah lumpur menghadang. Tak jarang, lutut kaki hampir menyentuh dada saat merayapi akar-akar pohon yang merambat di jalur pendakian.
Emon menyebutkan jumlah total rambu di Gunung Talang terdapat 54 buah. Namun, tak ada patokan yang jelas jarak antar rambu ketika rambu mulai dibuat. Setiap melewati rambu membuat saya yang pertama kali mendaki Gunung Talang penasaran.
Hampir dua jam lamanya kami berjalan mendaki gunung yang terakhir meletus tahun 2007 ini. Di R46, lampu-lampu pemukiman menyegarkan mata setelah jatuh bangun di tengah hutan gelap. Sejenak kami berdua duduk santai sambil memandangi celah terbuka di punggung gunung yang kami lewati.
Panorama matahari terbit di sela-sela awan di puncak Gunung Talang, Solok, Sumatera Barat, Rabu (1/6/2016). Gunung Talang adalah gunung berapi aktif yang ada di Sumatera Barat dengan ketinggian 2.597 meter di atas permukaan laut (mdpl).(KOMPAS.com / Wahyu Adityo Prodjo)
Sedari tadi tak ada pendaki yang ditemui sejak di awal saya sempat berpapasan dengan pendaki lain. Kami berdua memang melesat cepat karena berharap bisa menyaksikan matahari pagi muncul dari ufuk timur di belahan bumi yang terkenal dengan kuliner rendangnya ini. Kami tiba di R54 sekitar pukul 04.20 WIB.
"Di sini tempat kemah pendaki sebelum puncak. Ada air yang bisa diambil dekat sini. Dari sini ke puncak sekitar 1 jam," jelas Emon.
Menuju Puncak
Tak berlama-lama kami di lahan kemping. Segera saya bersama Emon mencari mulut gigir gunung berbatu terjal di sisa-sisa malam. Tak adanya penanda cukup menyulitkan kami untuk kembali melahap jalur pendakian.
"Sebentar kita cari dulu. Harusnya sudah terlihat. Oh ini, kita lewat sini," ujar Emon sambil menunjukkan formasi batu besar sebagai tanda masuk ke gigir gunung.
Nafas mulai tersengal-sengal saat melewati jalur yang terbilang curam sekitar 55-60 derajat. Keringat bercucuran dari kening hingga tubuh. Rasa pegal menyerang sendi-sendi kaki setelah meniti tanjakan menuju ke puncak gunung.

Emon sedikit menyemangati saya di kejauhan. Sebagai pemandu pendakian, ia sering kali mengantarkan pendaki untuk menggapai puncak Gunung Talang. Ia mengaku selain bekerja di perkebunan teh, ia juga mengisi waktu untuk bekerja sampingan.

Sedikit demi sedikit, beberapa ratus meter jalur berbatu dari lahan kemping nan luas terlampaui. Jam menunjukkan pukul 05.30 WIB dan matahari telah bersiap muncul. Kami kembali bergegas.
“Mau lihat sunrise-nya di puncak atau di hutan mati?” tanya Emon.
“Di puncak saja,” jawab saya.
Agak “ngeri-ngeri sedap” juga ketika saya melewati sisi puncak kawah yang memancarkan gas belerang. Saya langsung spontan menutup hidung. Emon menyakinkan saya untuk segera melewati puncak kawah yang telah terlihat membayang.
Hutan mati dan puncak kawah terlewati. Kami berdua masih harus melewati dua bukit kecil sebelum tiba di puncak Gunung Talang. Matahari mulai mengintip di sisi kanan jalur pendakian.
Tepat pukul 06.00 WIB, saya menghentikan langkah di sekitar punggungan puncak Gunung Talang. Rona jingga tergaris di horizon yang membentang luas. Awan-awan lembut bak kapas menyembul.

Pemandangan tiga danau
Dari Gunung Talang, pendaki bisa melihat pesona tiga danau di Kabupaten Solok. Tiga danau tersebut adalah Danau Di Atas, Danau Di Bawah, dan Danau Talang.
Danau Di Atas berada di Nagari Alahan Panjang, Kecamatan Lembah Gumanti dan Danau Di Bawah terletak di Nagari Bukit Sileh, Kecamatan Lembang Jaya. Sementara, Danau Talang berada di Kampuang Batu Dalam, Kecamatan Danau Kembar.
Pemandangan ini adalah salah satu daya tarik wisata yang dapat dinikmati saat mendaki Gunung Talang. Gunung Talang sendiri berketinggian sekitar 2.597 meter di atas permukaan laut (mdpl). Wisatawan bisa melihat pesona danau-danau tersebut mulai dari R46.
Seorang anggota Mahasiswa Pencinta Alam Universitas Andalas (Mapala Unand), Frisco kepada KompasTravel sempat merekomendasikan jalur Ai Batumbuk untuk pendakian Gunung Talang. Ia beralasan dibandingkan jalur Bukit Sileh, Ai Batumbuk menawarkan pemandangan yang menarik.
“Dari Ai Batumbuk nanti bisa lihat tiga danau. Jadi bisa langsung lihat. Kalau Bukit Sileh, harus sampai puncak dulu baru bisa melihat danau-danau. Jalurnya pun sulit,” ungkapnya.
Pendakian Gunung Talang dimulai dari pinggir Jalan Raya Labuan Selasih – Muara Labuh Km 17. Terdapat sebuah papan besi bertuliskan “SDN 32 Air Batumbuk” adalah tanda masuknya menuju R0 dan pos sekretariat pendakian Gunung Talang.
Dari situ perjalanan menuju puncak melewati jalur yang licin dan berlumpur. Perlu kehati-hatian ekstra saat mendaki. Namun semuanya terbayar pantas saat melihat cantiknya matahari terbit di puncak Gunung Talang.
